Service applications
Applying for service
- Customers who rent, lease or lease to purchase, MUST come into our office to apply for service.
- Establishing a new account for customers
who are purchasing
For residents or businesses transferring service into their name (where utilities are already connected):
Electric, gas, water and wastewater
- Completed Residential or
Commercial
Service Application.

- All service applications must be accompanied by a copy of valid drivers license or Photo ID and second form of ID, preferably social security card or
health insurance card with social security
number on it. A health insurance card w/o ss#
is not acceptable.
- All service applications must be accompanied by proof of ownership,
(contract for sale, purchase agreement, tax
receipt or deed). Customer will be informed by CPW of service fees and rates.
An office visit may be required. Call
848-5500.
- To transfer service only, please fax appropriate form listed above to 968-2169.
- Establishing a new connection or tap
Customer must come to Greer CPW with completed forms for new tap service.
For new business buildings and homes where there is not currently a service connection.
Electric, gas, water and wastewater
- Completed service application from above.
- All service applications must be accompanied by a

insurance card.
- All service applications must be accompanied by
proof of ownership. If builder or agent is
applying for service, a building permit is
required.

For New Gas Service:
- All gas forms must be completed and signed at our Customer Service Center.
*A tenant cannot sign up for a new connection or taps, this must be completed by the landlord with proof of ownership.
