GREER – Lake and clean water lovers rejoice! Lake Robinson Day will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. celebrating all things water related.
“We are excited to continue this educational event and build on the momentum of last year. Drinking water comes from Lake Robinson so it is important to educate the public on how to take care of it,” said Mike Richard, Greer CPW General Manager.
The event is sponsored by Greer CPW and will be filled with free activities for all ages including inflatables, kayaking courtesy of Cole’s Bait Shop, wildlife demos, “Litter Trashes Everyone” puppet show by the Columbia Marionette theater and educational info about water quality.
“More than 25 exhibitors will be on site educating the public about how water impacts everything we do from litter prevention, recycling, pollinators, water safety and sustainable living,” said Alison Rauch, Public Information Coordinator.
There will also be a free lunch for those who pre-register, a community blood drive, free tree giveaway and rain barrel workshop. The rain barrel workshop is the only cost associated with this event and will be run through the Watershed Ecology Center.
