The Greer Commission of Public Works (Greer CPW) reached a record monetary commitment in its United Way campaign this year. Greer CPW employees contributed $28,905 to the United Way of Greenville County. This year’s campaign was led by co-chairs James Crum and Angie Karcher. Employees participated in bake sales, silent auctions, a “cold water” challenge, and other fundraising events. Employees also committed to the campaign by pledging direct contributions from each pay check.

“Our employees are always willing to contribute to help our neighbors. While this number is a record for us, the generosity of our great team is no surprise,” said Jeff Tuttle, Greer CPW’s General Manager. “James Crum and Angie Karcher outdid themselves, and our employees’ care and concern for the community is quite evident,” Tuttle said.

CPW employees have participated in a United Way campaign for over a decade. This year’s commitment marks a 26% increase from the 2014 contribution.
