GREER- More online features, user friendly and interactive.  Those were the goals for a recent Greer CPW website facelift and redesign.

“With the ongoing pandemic, we understand the importance of allowing customers to do business with us safely and with the press of a button,” said Paul Peach, Greer CPW Information Technology Manager.

New features include starting/stopping service from an online form, reporting security and streetlights out using an interactive map and consolidating many pages from the previous site.

“With little to no promotion of the start/stop service button, we’ve had more than 400 customers take advantage of the feature since launching the website,” said Peach.

There has also been a large push for online bill pay as much of the Upstate shutdown earlier this year.  Internet payments are up 14% and continues to be the easiest way to do business with Greer CPW.

The new redesign comes as the Greater Greer area experiences explosive residential and commercial growth.

“September and October were record months for the number of meters set among all of our utilities,” said Mike Richard, Greer CPW General Manager. “We are on pace to install 3,600 meters in 2020 compared to 2,750 in 2019,” said Richard.

The new website launched to the public October 28th with plans for additional features including a dedicated page for builders and developers.
