The Energy Star program was created by both the US EPA and the Department of Energy. It’s main focus is to identify and certify energy efficient electric appliances for the every day consumer.

By purchasing energy efficient (and Energy Star certified) appliances, the average homeowner can save hundreds of dollars on their power bill each year. Appliances TVs, dishwashers, ceiling fans, water heaters, and many more products are available with the Energy Star label.
