Hamburger lunches, golf tournament, a silent auction and employee pledges – just a few ways Greer Commission of Public Works employees raised more than $15,000 for this year’s United Way of Greenville County campaign.
On Saturday, October 27th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Greer Commission of Public Works and the Greer Police Department will once again partner to get potentially dangerous, expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs off the streets.
Utility operators, contractors, emergency responders and public officials are invited to a unique pipeline safety event Tuesday, October 30th. The mock line strike, hosted by South Carolina 811, Greer CPW and Enertech LLC will demonstrate a natural gas line being hit and how to respond to the situation.
The Partnership for Tomorrow’s (“PFT”) Make Greer Great Grant Program will accept applications for funding until November 2, 2018. With a maximum award of $3,000, organizations, civic clubs, neighborhood associations, and community residents are encouraged to apply for funds for innovative and creative new projects that help make the Greer community a better place to live, to work, to visit, and to raise a family.
