Greer CPW, IPR Southeast Begin Downtown Pipe Work

By January 30, 2018December 7th, 2020No Comments

As part of the ongoing downtown infrastructure improvements, Greer CPW continues construction on underground pipes before the City of Greer begins their streetscape project.

CIPP or “cured in place pipe” is being used to rehabilitate some of the oldest pipes on Greer CPW's system on Trade, East Poinsett, South Main and Victoria Streets.  CIPP is a highly efficient and cost effective way to repair aging pipes by repairing them in one continuous run.  This eliminates cracks, breaks, seams and leaks in the old pipe. The best part about this process is CIPP eliminates digging and most jobs can be completed in one day.  The majority of our work is being done overnight so many residents and customers will not see the work taking place.
